Introducing the completely rebuilt Fin Library - better user experience, transparent pricing, real reviews, and new tools to help you find the perfect fins
We've been working behind the scenes to completely rebuild The Fin Library from the ground up. After months of development, we're excited to share what's new and how it makes finding and renting the right fins simpler, more transparent, and more reliable than ever.
What's Improved
Better User Experience
The new site is built with surfers in mind. We've streamlined the browsing experience with cleaner navigation, better search filters, and a mobile-friendly design that works whether you're at home planning your next session or checking inventory from the car park.
Most importantly, we now display consistent specifications across all brands - dimensions in millimeters, areas in square millimeters, and detailed construction information. No more guessing or trying to compare apples to oranges.
Transparent Pricing & Reviews
All rental costs are displayed upfront with no hidden fees. You'll know exactly what you're paying before you commit. We've also added a review system where real surfers share their experiences with different fins - what worked, what didn't, and how they performed in various conditions.
These aren't marketing reviews. They're honest feedback from people who've actually used the fins, helping you make informed decisions about your next rental.
New Tools to Help You Choose
Fin Finder: Not sure which fins suit your board and surfing style? Our fin finder tool asks a few simple questions about your setup, experience level, and what you're trying to achieve, then recommends options from our library.
Fin Request Form: Can't find what you're looking for in our current inventory? Use the request form to let us know what specific fins you'd like to try. If there's enough interest, we'll do our best to add them to the library.
What's Next
We're constantly working to expand our library with fins you won't find elsewhere. We want to support our awesome boutique manufacturers across Europe - small companies making innovative designs that deserve more attention.
These smaller brands often produce limited quantities and don't have the distribution networks of the big players. By adding them to our rental library, we can give surfers access to unique fin designs and help support independent manufacturers at the same time.
Are you a boutique manufacturer or do you know of a fin we should list? Please drop us a line on Instagram!
