1. Introduction
Welcome to the Fin Library. By accessing and using our website located at www.thefinlibrary.com you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all customers who rent products from us. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time, and any changes will be posted here.

2. Rental Process
2.1 Rental Selection: Customers can select a surfboard fin and choose a rental period of 1, 2, or 3 months.

2.2 Checkout and Payment: At checkout, customers provide their name, address, and shipping details. The total rental fee and a refundable deposit, as shown on the product page, are due at this time.

2.3 Deposit Return Conditions: Upon return of the fin in acceptable condition (normal wear and tear allowed), we will refund the deposit to the payment card used at checkout. If the fin sustains serious damage making it unfit for future rental or sale, the customer will forfeit the deposit.

2.4 Lost Items:

  • If a fin is lost in transit to the customer, we will assume responsibility and either issue a replacement or a refund.
  • For returns, once the initial tracking scan is registered at the customers local post office, we will assume responsibility if the item is lost in transit. If no initial scan is provided, the customer will be responsible for the lost item.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must keep the rental items in good condition and report any damages immediately.
  • Serious damages resulting in unsuitability for future rentals or sale will result in a forfeited deposit.
  • All items must be returned on or before the end date of the rental period. Failure to return on time may incur additional charges.

4. Payment and Fees

  • All fees, including the rental fee and refundable deposit, are listed on the individual product pages. Payments are charged at checkout.
  • The deposit will be refunded upon the acceptable return of the fin, subject to inspection for damages as outlined above.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • We work with reliable shipping providers to deliver items promptly. Expected delivery times will be provided at checkout.
  • Customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs. We recommend choosing a tracked shipping method for returns to ensure safe transit.
  • Return instructions will be included with each order.

6. Limitations of Liability

  • We are not liable for any delivery delays or defects in rental items, nor for any injuries or damages resulting from the use of rented fins.
  • Customers are advised to inspect the fin upon delivery for any noticeable defects. By using the fin, the customer accepts it in its delivered condition.

7. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or our service will be handled in the Irish courts.
